My first winter in Ohio was spent on Buckeye Lake. Sent here to rest after rounds of chemo and radiation, I had the privilege to sit quietly and reflect on the extraordinary brilliance of the season as it made its mark on an already beautiful landscape. The burnt glow of the sunrises and soft, luminous jewel tones of the sunsets playing on and around the docks, the geese, heron and bald eagles feeding off the icy waters and the electric warm glow off the windows of my neighbors' houses all inspired me to capture the "feel" of the season in, "Winter on Buckeye Lake".
