When we moved to Buckeye Lake last September, I was warmly welcomed by a neighbor and invited to a "Ladies of the Lake" gathering. Upon arrival the ladies already present were toasting to jello shot rounds and I knew these were my people. Through the long winter we all pretty much just kept to ourselves aside from one Christmas gathering. Come March, I was really missing my new peeps. That's when I thought that an art party at my house would be the perfect welcoming of spring. (the joke's on me, since here it is mid- April and we're STILL dropping into the 30's :/ ) Anyway, the evening was a total success, thanks to all the lovely Ladies of the Lake that showed up, AND brought their favorite bevys and snacks. We painted and sipped and those blank canvases felt our wrath in that
fun-filled evening.
